What's New in Sevrel — April 2026 Update
Correction — 29 July 2026
This post announced SharePoint / OneDrive and Dropbox as available storage connectors. That was wrong, and we are correcting it rather than quietly deleting it. Neither connector can be enabled today: Sevrel's Microsoft sign-in does not request SharePoint file permissions, and Dropbox is not enabled on our production deployment. Both are listed under planned work on our roadmap. The connectors you can use today are Egnyte, Google Drive, and direct upload.
The short version: you can now bring Sevrel to your documents, not the other way around. A safer property import flow, faster document search, and new integrations — see the correction above for which storage connectors are actually available.
Universal storage support
Egnyte was our first integration — and it remains the most common choice for institutional CRE. But not every firm runs on Egnyte. This release announced three new places your leases, budgets, and reports can live. Only Google Drive shipped:
Google Drive
Connect in Settings with Drive read scope plus the limited drive.filescope used for files created through Sevrel workflows. Source content is processed and extracted/indexed data may persist in Sevrel. Sensitive write actions remain permission- and confirmation-gated. Works with My Drive and Shared Drives.
SharePoint / OneDrive — not available
This release described SharePoint and OneDrive as automatically available to Microsoft 365 firms. They are not. Sevrel's Microsoft sign-in does not request SharePoint or OneDrive file permissions, so the connector cannot be activated. It remains planned work.
Dropbox — not available
This release described a full Dropbox integration. Dropbox is not enabled on Sevrel's production deployment and cannot be connected today. It remains planned work.
You can switch providers at any time from Settings. Your conversation history is preserved across switches.
Gmail for the email assistant
The email assistant — summarise, search, pull out commitments — now works for Gmail users, not only Microsoft 365. New Gmail connections request gmail.modify, which supports read plus label/move operations; sends and other sensitive actions require the applicable scope, Sevrel authorization, and explicit confirmation.
Property import review step
When the AI extracts tenants, leases, and critical dates from your documents, you now see a review step before anything is committed to your portfolio. Every row is shown with:
- The parsed record (tenant, suite, sqft, rent, dates, escalation)
- A status flag — will create, duplicate, or invalid
- Any validation errors or data warnings for that row
- Whether the tenant already exists or will be created new
Nothing enters your portfolio until you approve. The preview step is also available as a standalone API (/preview) for integration with existing data pipelines.
Smaller improvements
- Cross-organization data isolation audit: every alert, suggestion, and memory entry now carries an explicit organization scope
- Calendar edits and deletions for Microsoft 365 users (not just creates)
- Per-user rate-limit visibility so admins can see usage patterns
- Faster assistant suggestion refresh on the home screen
